With 15 years of performing under his belt Dub Troubles has been all over, sharing stages with legends like Ken Booth and Earl 16, working with collectives across the UK & Spain like ‘Afrobeat DJ’s’ and ‘Irie Lion Sound’ and even operating the massive ‘Blackboard Jungle Sound System’ at the Rototom/Dub Academy festival.

 

What makes Dub Troubles a force to be reckoned with in the modern reggae scene is his combined love for 80’s reggae & dub along with an ear for more contemporary sounds like deep dubstep, dub-techno & bass music. He can craft a riddim that will take listeners back to the dancehalls of 1980’s Jamaica, full of skanking melodies and roots style echoes or bring them into a darker atmosphere of progressive underground club music. Whichever direction he aims the result is always a heavyweight sound with individuality like no other!
